Vilnius, our first show trip to Baltics this year.
Three days, four dogs. How fun can that be? When we left on Thursday morning at 04.30, we couldn’t (luckily) see the future. After driving 800 km with one quick stop, we arrived to cold, snowy and salty Vilnius. There was no signs for spring yet. On 2017 here was about +15 celsius and now -20 celsius.
Our hotel was near old town. A good hotel is maybe one of the best ways to make a show trip to feel like holiday. Great food helps too. We had both. Check the food recommendations form Mikko’s Facebook.
Friday
Friday, the first day at the Lith-Expo was like a training day. Dogs behaved nicely and we began to remember how it goes in a dog show and judge found the winners.
Saturday
Imbrez Get Bizzy, “Jaakko” the black male, continued with his reserve cacib and hotel breakfast style. Saturday was again same song with different judge. Sunday was Jaakkos best day by the results. He won his class, but surprise, surprise with Reserve cacib. Ok he is an international champion allready, so no big harm done, just Jaakko kind of placement again. But at home we noticed that he has received enough CACs to comlete his LT champion title, So we got one new champion from this trip.
Saturday Mikko showed Addy and Emppu took Venla. That wasn’t so good idea. Venla was so much after Mikko and because Venla was first in line we saw some funny moves in the ring.
Sunday
You have to have a good nerves to make trips like these. Have you ever been in a situation where you are collecting prizes from the counter and you get prizes and BIG laugh?
We got and we actually laughted too. What else can you do after six reserve cacibs? But indeed six reserve cacibs to one team is what you do not see everyday…
