This time Mikko stayed home with dogs and Suvi and I headed to 2 national dog shows in Valmiera Latvia with 4 dogs. Good thing we had plenty of driving time planned because snow made the trip much longer than usual. 

The drive at Latvia’s small roads at night brought up many good horror stories and Snoopy: it was dark and stormy night. 

GPS, Google and map, and we finally made it to the hotel, which was in small village about 30 km from show ground.

Hotel surroundings were nice, but as always, hotel was fully booked with dogs and sleeping wasn’t so easy.

We had with us black and silver Piper, salt&pepper Crash and Kerttu, and Suvi’s black male Ferro.

Piper attended in her first ever shows. She did participate in bikini class, with very very short coat, but this was good training for her. She was second in Junior class both days with very much puppy-like behaviour, but she did have fun.

Kerttu was Champion 2 on Saturday and Champion 1 on Sunday, and best sitch with BOB, Latvian Certificate and Champion title. Crash had the exact same results, but being BOS.

Ferro was Open class 1, Best Male 2 both days, with 2 Latvian Certificates, what a great results! He showed so nicely woth Suvi, well trained!

So over all, ok trip with little challenges. Must say that was really glad we had 4wheel drive and big car, and also good map reader! Thank you Suvi for great company!
